The Foundation for Economic Education’s thematic special project focuses on areas of particular importance to the development of Finland’s competitiveness.
The objective is to ensure that high-quality research is translated into business activity that strengthens the competitiveness of Finnish companies in international markets.
During the 2026 grant application round, high-quality applications are particularly encouraged for research on pricing and sales management.
Applications for the thematic special project may be submitted through the application system during the grant application period from 1 June to 15 August 2026.
- Select the section for the thematic special project “Innovation, Commercialisation and Growth” on the application form and respond to all questions relating to the initiative.
- Please also complete the other sections of the application, attach the required supporting documents, nominate your referees, and submit your application well in advance of the deadline.
Grants may be applied for by individuals, working groups, research teams, and organisations. Applications may include the costs of acquiring new research material or databases. The periods for which funding may be sought are 4–12, 24, or 36 months.
